Marigot Bay – An Overview
Marigot Bay is located on the Western Coast of the island approximately 4 miles southwest of Castries It has been described by the American novelist James A. Michener as “The most beautiful bay in the Caribbean.
The Bay holds a fascination found nowhere else on the island. The ridge and surrounding hillsides are home to some of the most beautiful and unique real estate in St Lucia.
The Bay is a very popular yachting destination and is able, due to its draft to attract Mega and Super Yachts. Therefore Marigot Bay attracts visitors from all over the world and offers an exciting atmosphere.
Some of the small hotels and restaurants located on the north side of the bay are only accessible by boat making this an interesting and authentic alternative to the resort and marina on the other side of the bay
How To Get There
Leaving Hewanorra airport in the south Marigot is approximately one hour’s drive via the east coast highway. From Castries, Marigot is approximately a 15 minute drive.
