Freedom Bay Construction Contract Awarded

The management company of the Freedom Bay Development in Soufriere has awarded the construction contract for the first phase of the project to NH International (Caribbean) Limited (NHIC), and the site has been handed over to the contractor for work to commence immediately.

Wayne Girard, the CEO of Six Senses Residences (the development company behind the luxury resort development), has announced an expected timeline for handover of 18 months. The value of the first phase is over US$40m.

NHIC has a long history and considerable portfolio of large-scale projects in the Caribbean, from the Bahamas to Guyana, encompassing roads, bridges, commercial buildings and water and sewerage facilities. The company is a four-time “Contractor of the Year” of the Trinidad & Tobago Contractors Association.
